BOARD MEMBERS PAY COURTESY VISIT TO THE AGENCY
The Honourable Minister of Water Resources, Engr. Suleiman Adamu, on the 22nd of February, 2018 inaugurated members of the board for the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA). The members are Engr. Atiku Dungurawa as the chairman from Kano State, Ibrahim Magaji Gusau, member from Sokoto State, Otunba Adeniyi A. ljogun, member from Ondo State, Mr. Soni Idahagbon, member from Edo State, Barr. Suwaiba I. Barou, member from Zamfara State, Alhaji Abdulrahman S. Ribadu, member from Adamawa State and Jungudo Saidu, member from Gombe State.
At the maiden visit of the board members to the Agency and in the welcome address, the Director General Mr. O.M. Ogunwale, stated the readiness on the part of the Agency to work with the members in achieving the Agency’s mandate.
Further more in his address, the Director General presented the Agency’s organogram which consists of five technical Departments namely, Hydrogeophysics, Operational Hydrology, Hydrogeoinformatics, Engineering Hydrology, and Hydrogeology Departments and other Departments such as Department of Admin and Finance, with units that are directly under the Director General’s office which are Legal, Press, Audit, Procurement, Servicom and Accounts.
The capital fund proposal by the Agency, appropriation by the National Assembly, actual fund released and the short fall of funds were all part of the Director General’s Presentation.
In his closing remark, the Director General wished the members a successful tenure while they serve.
