I have the honour to invite you to the public presentation of the 2021 Annual Flood Outlook (AFO) for our dear country. You may wish to recall that the AFO is an annual publication of the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA), a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.
2. The AFO gives an overview of the expected Flood incidents and their variations across the country. It also provides information on early warnings and safety measures that are necessary to be put in place to reduce the incidences of flood disasters and their catastrophic effects to our national socio-economic development.
3. The theme of this year’s workshop is “Managing Flood for Sustainable Development in Covid-19 Era”. The public presentation will be performed by the Honourable
Minister of Water Resources, Suleiman H. Adamu, FNSE, FAEng. on Thursday 6th May, 2021.
