The Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Water Resources (FMWR), Mrs Esther Didi Walson-Jack, mni; today paid a courtesy visit to the Agency’s office Headquarters in Abuja.

Mrs Walson-Jack at the occasion expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Honourable Minister Of Water Resources (FMWR), Engr Suleiman Adamu, FNSE, FAEng, for his uncompromising support to the Agency’s activities, as it relates to the Provision of reliable Hydrological Data for the overall Management of the Nation’s enormous Water Resources potentials, amongst others. She also conveyed the Honourable Minister’s gratitude to NIHSA for living up to it’s mandate and his continuous support for the Agency’s programs and activities.

Mrs Walson-Jack expressed optimism and commended the Agency for a job well done, as regards to Flood Forecast and in relation to saving lives and properties, boosting, the food security through timely and competent information for planning, irrigation, and farming.

The Permanent Secretary further appreciated the the Director General Engr Clement Nze and the management team for the warm reception and noting the Agency’s challenges, she urged the Director General NIHSA Engr Clement Nze and his team to convey the Agency’s challenges to her attention and follow up with the Honourable Minister of Federal Ministry of Water Resources (FMWR), Engr Suleiman Adamu, FNSE, FAEng.

The Director General NIHSA Engr Clement Onyeaso Nze earlier in his welcome address said the Permanent Secretary’s visit was indeed quite a special one being her first time official visit to the Agency. He further gave a background history of the Agency, the composition of the Agency, Mandate and activities of the Agency as it relates to Water Resources Management in Nigeria and finally not failing to convey some of the challenges faced by the Agency to the Permanent Secretary.
